The boys ad girls in 6th Class participated in their Ceremony of Light last week in the church accompanied by parents, guardians, sponsors and family. During the ceremony, led by Fr. Derek, parents passed on the light from the Paschal candle to light the Baptismal candle of their son/daughter, symbolising the passing forward of responsibility to their child to live their lives as Jesus asks. The boys and girls have been and will continue to learn about the gifts and fruits of the Holy Spirit, in preparation for the Sacrament of Confirmation. Well done to all who participated, it was a lovley ceremony and we are very thankful to the local choir for volunteering on the evening to make the ceremony even more special.
