Christmas Concert and December Whole-School Assembly
What a jam-packed few weeks it has been!
The 5th and 6th Class boys and girls had very little time to prepare for their Christmas Concert, but they did amazing work together and managed to create a spectacular performance which they should be very proud of. Our Christmas play was called, 'The Christmas Truce' and was based on the real events of WWI when a temporary Christmas truce was held between the Germans and the English. The students captured the moment brilliantly and carried across the meaningful message of the importance of kindness, unity and gratitude - especially at Christmas. Our Christmas concert finished with a fun and enjoyable sing-song, including all the parents and family attending the concert. Thank you to all who came to support the students on the day!
We had our last whole-school assembly this week, when our 6th Class were surprised with the delivery of the 6th Class hoodies. Not only that, we recognised a few pupils for hard work and talents. November's student of the month focused on 'Scientist of the Month' and December's student of the month focused on 'Performer of the Month'. We also had two winners, one from 5th and one from 6th, for their artistic talents in the whole-school Christmas art competition. Well done to you all!!! The 5th and 6th Class boys and girls also received a Christmas selection box each! How lucky!
