Life Lately in 3rd Class

13th Feb 2026

It has been a very busy and exciting few weeks in 3rd Class.

We recently completed our swimming lessons and what a fantastic experience it was. From singing songs on the bus to building confidence and learning new skills in the pool, the pupils thoroughly enjoyed every moment. It was wonderful to see their progress and teamwork throughout the programme.

This week we celebrated Kindness Week, and 3rd Class truly set a fantastic example for the whole school community. The children showed kindness in so many ways helping one another, creating thoughtful compliments for their peers, and designing beautiful kindness badges and artwork. Their ability to care for and support each other is something they consistently excel at.

We also had a very informative talk from An Garda Síochána about internet safety and cyberbullying. The pupils learned practical ways to keep themselves and others safe online, linking closely with our Stay Safe programme and helping them to make responsible choices in an ever-changing digital world.

We have also started dancing in 3rd Class and the pupils are naturals. They have shown great rhythm, confidence and enthusiasm, and it has been wonderful to see them enjoying a new creative outlet together.

Our classroom has been brightened up with beautiful Valentine’s inspired artwork, adding colour and creativity to our learning space.

Congratulations to all of the pupils who received awards at assembly, including Gaeilgóir na Míosa, Handwriting, and Kindness awards. We are incredibly proud of the effort, positivity and enthusiasm shown by everyone in 3rd Class.

Well done everyone.
