This month, the boys and girls in Senior Infants and 1st class have been learning about sunflowers.
For Geography, we started learning about the signs of spring. In Science, we talked about how plants grow and the parts of a sunflower.
In Literacy, we focussed on report writing. We read reports about spring and the children wrote their own reports on sunflowers.
After all the learning took place, it was time for the fun part! The children got to plant their very own sunflower seeds. We already cant wait for them to grow and turn into some lovely sunflowers!
