6th Class students were kindly invited to a touch-rugby blitz at Old Belvedere in Donnybrook on Friday, May 1st, by our Leinster Primary Schools rep and coach, Stephen. It was a glorious, sunny day which made the event all that more enjoyable for everyone. The boys and girls had little experience with this type of sport but it didn't stop them from enthusiastically jumping in! With only 7 players a side, the boys and girls happily swapped on and off throughout each 10-minute game. The players learned very quickly as they went along, picking up new skills and courageous tactics! The event was really well organised and the boys and girls went back to school smiling and laughing. Some may have even been inspired to pick up rugby/tag rugby when they start secondary school! Thanks to Sabrina for accompanying us on the day, and Pat, our nice bus driver!
